Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage environmental compliance activities for stormwater, wastewater, surface water quality, industrial discharges, deicing-related discharges, construction stormwater, and spill prevention/response.
  • •Provide technical leadership for permit compliance, inspections, environmental monitoring, reporting, corrective actions, regulatory notifications, and compliance documentation.
  • •Review permits, regulations, agency guidance, technical data, engineering documents, construction plans, and operational changes to identify compliance risks.
  • •Coordinate with regulatory agencies, airport departments, consultants, contractors, tenants, and airlines to implement compliance obligations.
  • •Support capital improvement projects with environmental reviews, SWPPP implementation, erosion and sediment control oversight, construction inspections, and contractor environmental compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • •7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental compliance, environmental permitting, stormwater management, wastewater compliance, water quality monitoring, environmental engineering, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
  • •Experience leading complex technical assignments and managing regulatory compliance activities, including directing or coordinating consultants, contractors, inspectors, or multidisciplinary project teams.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act, NPDES permitting, industrial stormwater, wastewater pretreatment, and Georgia construction stormwater requirements.
  • •Valid Georgia driver’s license and Georgia Level 1B Erosion and Sedimentation Control certification (CPESC, CHMM, or CEP preferred).
