Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply electrical engineering expertise from conceptual design and studies through project completion.
  • •Lead design of electrical power distribution and control systems for industrial environments, including hazardous locations.
  • •Prepare and review specifications and datasheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and electrical equipment.
  • •Conduct power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash) and integrate safety, regulatory compliance, and risk analysis.
  • •Develop electrical distribution, motor control, grounding, lighting, and cable support designs; prepare technical reports, construction specifications, and cost estimates; mentor junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and client site visits as required.

Salary: CAD 85,100 - 112,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial projects.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in BC (eligibility for other jurisdictions is an asset).
  • •Working knowledge of CSA, ANSI, and IEEE standards and applicable codes.
  • •Proficiency with power system modelling and electrical design tools (e.g., ETAP or EasyPower).
  • •Ability to conduct industrial site reviews, comply with safety regulations, and have a valid driver’s licence.
