Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, configure, maintain, and harden Apache HTTP, IBM IHS, NGINX, and IIS, including virtual hosts, reverse proxies, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and WAF/request routing.
  • •Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Java application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Oracle AS), including JVM tuning and enterprise resources (JDBC/JMS/clustering).
  • •Monitor JVM and server performance (GC logs, thread/heap usage) and optimize caching/compression/connection handling to meet KPIs.
  • •Automate server builds, deployments, and configuration-as-code using Shell/Python/PowerShell/Ansible and CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git-based CI.
  • •Ensure security, compliance, high availability, and DR by managing certificates/PKI, applying hardening benchmarks, handling backups/replication/failover testing, and providing incident response/RCA.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years in Web/Application/Middleware Administration.
  • •Hands-on administration of major web servers: Apache HTTP, IBM IHS, NGINX, and IIS across Linux/Windows.
  • •Administration experience across Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss/WildFly, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server.
  • •Strong Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration, including SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, load balancing, proxying, certificates, and keystores.
  • •Experience deploying and supporting enterprise Java applications with CI/CD, automation, and scripting.
