Job Summary

Operate, maintain, and monitor crushing plant equipment—including crushers, screens, conveyors, and bins—to produce safe, efficient aggregates. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspections, and assist with repairs as needed. Follow PPE and MSHA/company safety requirements, complete daily pre-shift safety exams, and report hazards immediately. Maintain records of production, maintenance, and safety inspections, and support plant tasks like receiving materials and checking stockpiles.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate crushers, conveyors, screens, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient production of crushed materials.
•Ensure equipment is functioning properly and crush materials to the desired size and consistency; transport materials within the plant.
•Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment; identify and report malfunctions and assist with repairs.
•Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE; ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and conduct daily pre-shift safety workplace exams.
•Maintain records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections; record downtime and maintenance schedules and support other plant tasks.

Key Requirements

•Less than or equal to a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience/training (or an equivalent combination).
•Prior heavy equipment experience, including crushing operations, is helpful.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and communicate effectively.
•Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret information such as bar graphs.
•Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures, including daily pre-shift safety workplace exams and compliance with MSHA and company policies.
