Job Summary

Lead and deliver WINEP water resources investigations within the Catchment Science team, providing technical expertise (ideally hydro-ecology) and supporting robust assessments and high-quality reporting. Own day-to-day engagement with clients and regulators, contribute to WINEP bid proposals with innovative solutions, and support pipeline development with Service Area leads. Manage project quality, financial and change control, while promoting a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical expert leadership for WINEP water resources project delivery, ideally with hydro-ecology expertise, across Sustainable Water Management and Aquatic Ecology teams.
•Lead day-to-day client and regulator engagement for WINEP investigations.
•Support Service Area leads to develop and deliver the WINEP project pipeline and expand technical capabilities.
•Generate high-quality bid proposals and develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
•Manage projects including financial and change control and quality assurance, while promoting a safety-first approach in line with company policy.

Key Requirements

•Experience of technical leadership and/or management of WINEP investigations or similar, bringing together multidisciplinary experts to deliver robust technical assessments.
•A clear understanding of regulatory requirements and expectations for WINEP investigations, particularly the Water Framework Directive.
•Experience assessing impacts of abstraction on the water environment, ideally with hydro-ecology expertise.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the potential to engage and influence at all levels.
•Sound commercial awareness, including identifying/developing business opportunities and preparing winning proposals.
