Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive venue sustainability crew hiring, training, onboarding, and scheduling, and provide updates to staff to recognize progress and identify improvement areas.
  • •Oversee and assist with material sorting for recycling, composting, reuse, and donation to maximize resource recovery and landfill diversion.
  • •Use Microsoft Office tools to track program metrics, document operations, and report progress; manage waste hauler relationships and investigate discrepancies in weight reporting.
  • •Collaborate with venue leaders and the National Sustainability Team to design a comprehensive zero waste plan with goals, a material flow map, and accountability tracking.
  • •Work with venue management to manage and report budgeting, optimize staffing templates for show and non-show days, and ensure zero-waste procedures are implemented and followed on-site.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •1-2 years in a leadership position with experience in operations/event coordination, managing a team, and working within an existing budget.
  • •Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments with hands-on involvement and quick troubleshooting using practical solutions.
  • •Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel proficiency to track, interpret, and report metrics accurately.
  • •Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with judgment, tact, diplomacy, and teamwork to execute programs.
