Key Responsibilities

  • •Support discovery and source assessment, including schema design, data mapping, migration development, cutover planning, and production execution and maintenance.
  • •Inventory and catalog XML data sources (schemas, DTDs, XSDs) and produce discovery and assessment reports including constraints and anomalies.
  • •Plan and implement repeatable XML-to-relational data migration strategies, including schema design, parent-child mappings, and many-to-many junction tables.
  • •Develop and maintain ETL routines using database-native SQL (T-SQL) and XPath/XQuery, plus unit tests for verification and reconciliation.
  • •Plan, execute, and document production migrations with runbooks/rollback, audit logging, automated verification checks, and ongoing migration interval plans.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of server database maintenance and database administration (or similar role).
  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology (or experience in lieu of degree).
  • •Strong SQL proficiency for query development, data modeling, schema optimization, and data analysis.
  • •Hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting relational databases including backup and recovery.
