Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake rail and road bridge structural engineering schemes from inspection and assessment through feasibility to detailed design.
  • •Perform hands-on assessment and structural inspections with reporting.
  • •Assist with supervision of Graduate Engineers and Technicians as appropriate.
  • •Prepare technical documentation through to client sign-off of Technical Approval documentation.
  • •Support production of tenders and assist with project management including programme/resource monitoring, quality control, technical management, and delivery.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Degree educated (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering; MSc level (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • •Graduate Member with ICE and IStructE and proven commitment to gaining Chartership.
  • •Experience with bridge and related structural inspection, assessment, and design schemes.
  • •Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and assessment codes.
  • •Working knowledge of AutoCad and experience designing concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
