Job Summary

Lead mechanical repair work for aircraft engines/components in an MRO repair-and-overhaul shop. This onsite role coordinates technicians, delegates tasks, and supports daily goals while troubleshooting complex problems. Perform and supervise maintenance activities including disassembly, wash, blast, paint, build-up, pressure tests, inspections, and assembly per customer specs, airworthiness directives, and FAA/JAA/CMM guidelines, while maintaining safety-first standards and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of technicians across mechanical repair job functions.
•Act as team lead or assistant to the supervisor/manager to achieve daily goals.
•Delegate tasks, review others’ work products, and solve complex problems.
•Ensure required standard work is completed in accordance with FAA and CMM guidelines and maintain a safety-first culture.
•Perform repair processes such as disassembly, wash, blast, paint, build-up, pressure testing, receiving/final inspection, and assembly of aircraft components per specifications and operating procedures.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
•Prior experience performing wheel and brake mechanical repairs, assembly, or other technical capacities within aviation.
•Ability to interpret and follow component maintenance manuals and other applicable technical documents.
•Ability to ensure work is performed in accordance with FAA and CMM standards.
•Able to continuously stand and walk and occasionally lift items up to 35 lbs.
