Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly manage a team of designers, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, career development conversations, and measurable ownership of morale and retention.
  • •Run and improve Agile ceremonies for design (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, design reviews) and integrate design into scrum cycles with Product and Engineering.
  • •Stay hands-on with the craft by owning features end-to-end when needed and providing daily critique to elevate the team’s output.
  • •Serve as the primary design liaison to Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders, translating design intent into business priorities and negotiating scope clearly.
  • •Synthesize usability testing and behavioral analytics into design iterations, and champion AI-augmented design workflows using Figma AI and Claude.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of UX/product design experience, including 3+ years directly managing designers, with a portfolio showing craft excellence and team leadership.
  • •Hands-on experience running Agile scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming) and integrating design into agile product development.
  • •Strong end-to-end product design ownership from discovery and wireframing through high-fidelity UI and production handoff, at a high level.
  • •Deep proficiency in Figma (component architecture, auto-layout, variables, prototyping) and experience building, governing, and scaling design systems.
  • •Experience embedding accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and synthesizing usability testing and behavioral analytics (e.g., FullStory, Pendo) into design decisions.
