Job Summary

Oversee the technical delivery of large, complex AV integration projects—from reviewing preliminary designs and contracts to finalizing engineering documentation, Bill of Materials, network coordination, and calculations. During implementation, provide technical guidance, assemble closeout “as-built” documentation, and partner with commissioning and programming teams to troubleshoot issues. Lead commissioning for high-profile installations, serve as final technical authority for escalations, mentor junior engineers, and travel to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Review preliminary design documents (SOW/contract) and finalize engineering deliverables including Bills of Materials, drawings, infrastructure requirements, and network coordination for installation/commissioning.
•Create and complete technical documentation (engineering documents, cable pull sheets, closeout “as-built” drawings, and programming files) and provide engineering documents for submittal packages.
•Support project implementation by resolving technical questions, monitoring project budgets with Operations, and providing technical updates to the Project Manager on progress and challenges.
•Collaborate with commissioning and programming teams on checklists and commissioning guides; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
•Lead/oversee commissioning for high-profile installations as final technical authority for escalations, mentor junior engineers, and identify training gaps and standards development.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience with AV system design, integration, or field support, including leading DSP programming configuration efforts.
•Proficiency with test and calibration methodologies for AV systems and the ability to create and use test plans.
•Foundational AV control programming knowledge, including using a debugger and troubleshooting code for AMX, Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS.
•Ability to finalize engineering deliverables such as SOW/design validation outputs, CAD-based documents (e.g., risers, elevations), and Bills of Materials.
•AVIXIA CTS-I and AVIXA ANP certifications (with Cisco CCNA or similar considered in lieu of ANP).
