Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with business units to ensure Unix/Linux and OpenShift solutions meet requirements and promote published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure compliance.
  • •Provide support for technologies in Unix/Linux compute platforms, partnering with Micron IT Operations, Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams.
  • •Drive innovation through automation, standardization, and system enhancements to improve performance and reliability of compute and container platforms.
  • •Use scripting and tools (e.g., Ansible, shell, Python) for automated tasks, system builds, and change management; perform monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning.
  • •Support IT project execution and continually improve operations through monitoring metrics, log review, trend analysis, and incident/problem management; collaborate with the IT Operations Manager.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years managing enterprise Unix/Linux solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • •Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9).
  • •Strong scripting skills (at least one of Ansible, shell, or Python) to automate tasks and system builds.
  • •Experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift (installation, operations, upgrades, and troubleshooting).
  • •Exposure to AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus familiarity with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, and LDAP basics.
