Key Responsibilities

•Maintain frequent, professional communication with working‑level officials at CAC (central and local), MIIT, MPS, and related bureaus; coordinate info requests and routine check‑ins to ensure smooth day‑to‑day interactions.
•Track, organize, and drive timely responses for regulatory notifications, inspections, and rectification tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and clear internal ownership to closure.
•Support execution of China-specific compliance programs.
•Monitor regulatory developments and special enforcement campaigns; distill implications for Duolingo, flag risks early, and coordinate mitigation with cross‑functional partners.
•Partner with Legal, Security/GRC, Product, BD and Marketing to operationalize compliant launches and features

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CNY 561,439 - 759,593 annually

Key Requirements

•3–8 years of relevant experience in government affairs, regulatory operations, or compliance at a tech, internet, or education company in China; or experience within/working closely with relevant ministries or regulator‑affiliated institutes.
•Demonstrated experience coordinating inspections/filings and managing multi‑stakeholder, cross‑functional responses under tight timelines.
•Practical familiarity with one or more of the following China regulatory areas: online content governance, data privacy/cross‑border transfer, AI supervision, minors‑protection, cybersecurity, etc.
•Excellent organization and documentation skills; rigor in tracking actions, decisions, and evidence for compliance closure.
•Clear, concise verbal and written communication in Chinese; professional proficiency in English for internal coordination and reporting.
