Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform Life Cycle and Materiel Management functions including equipment obsolescence, material compatibility issues, alternate part investigations, maintenance management, and disposal management
  • •Support and manage activities related to design and configuration control of vessels including functional and physical configuration audits, deviations and waivers documentation
  • •Provide technical advice to enable auxiliary and mechanical equipment and systems to be correctly operated or maintained
  • •Monitor system performance through reports such as Unsatisfactory Condition Reports, Pre-installation failures, and technical investigations
  • •Develop and review technical documentation including equipment specifications, installation and maintenance instructions, test/trials agendas, and engineering change documents

Key Requirements

  • •3-year technical program diploma (for Technologists) or 2-year technical program diploma (for Technicians) in a marine mechanical technical field offered by a recognized technical institute
  • •Certified as technologist/technician by a recognized licensing body or certified as marine technical trades (RQ-PO1, RQ-PO2, QL 6A, or QL 7)
  • •Minimum 8 years of demonstrated professional work experience in the naval, marine, or offshore industry within the last 15 years
  • •Extensive knowledge of marine auxiliary systems including propulsion, steering, HVAC, refrigeration
  • •Strong communication skills; English required
