Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain Cypress automation for React apps (TypeScript) across E2E, integration, and component tests.
  • •Write and maintain Gherkin feature files and step definitions aligned to acceptance criteria and living documentation.
  • •Evolve the automation framework (project structure, commands, fixtures/test data, environment configuration, stable selectors, and utilities).
  • •Integrate automation into CI/CD with parallelization, retries, dashboards, flaky test detection, and reporting.
  • •Perform API testing for frontend-consumed REST endpoints, including authentication flows, setup/cleanup, and error handling, and collaborate to triage failures and drive root-cause analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5+ years in QA automation with React/JavaScript/TypeScript and 2+ years hands-on with Cypress (v10+) including component and E2E testing.
  • •Strong experience testing React applications (SPAs or Next.js) with familiarity with hooks, state management, and routing patterns.
  • •Proven BDD/Gherkin experience using Cypress cucumber preprocessor (e.g., @badeball/cypress-cucumber-preprocessor) with maintainable feature files and step definitions.
  • •API testing for REST/GraphQL with cy.request, OAuth/OIDC/JWT authentication, and Postman/Newman for request/response validation.
  • •CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) with test parallelization, artifacts, and reporting.
