Lead SpaceX Starbase’s Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics programs as the on-site expert. Develop and implement IH/ergonomics solutions, conduct hazard assessments, ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA/NIOSH/ACGIH, and drive continuous improvements to protect workers in a space-launch manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for the industrial hygiene program and the ergonomic program.
•Conduct on-site reviews of work processes and layouts to identify ergonomic stressors, develop solutions, and oversee implementation.
•Develop and implement industrial hygiene and ergonomic solutions to mitigate risks and hazards.
•Lead root cause investigations into significant IH/ergonomic events and drive corrective actions.
•Develop and maintain IH/ergonomic programs (industrial/office ergonomics, respiratory protection, chemical hygiene, exposure control planning) and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree
•3+ years of professional experience in industrial hygiene with emphasis on ergonomics
•Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) are preferred
•Experience interpreting and applying federal, state and local safety regulations; knowledge of OSHA/NIOSH/ACGIH
•Ability to research and apply engineering solutions to IH/ergonomic risks; relocation to Brownsville, TX if not local
