Job Summary

Lead engineering projects across Conagra’s distribution centers and plant-based warehouses, setting strategies to improve warehouse processes and infrastructure while staying within capital and repair & maintenance budgets. Own powered industrial equipment (PIT) and industrial racking lifecycle standards, capital planning, and safe execution across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen environments. Partner with automation and operations teams to ensure facilities are automation-ready, develop multi-year execution plans, and drive network-wide optimization.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a subject matter expert in MHE, industrial racking systems, warehouse automation, and warehouse facility design and infrastructure optimization.
•Develop cost-reduction and efficiency improvement strategies and multi-year execution plans for owned and leased warehouse facilities.
•Oversee warehouse operating budgets and evaluate capital investment tradeoffs, including developing financial justification for optimization and capital projects.
•Lead capital planning and execution for PIT and racking projects, including replacements, upgrades, and network-wide initiatives, meeting budget, schedule, and performance targets.
•Partner cross-functionally with Transportation and Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing Platform, Program Management, and Finance, and engage external engineering firms and 3PL partners to execute site-specific projects.

Travel: High travel

Salary: USD 109,000 - 159,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required, with preference in Engineering.
•Minimum seven years of industrial engineering or logistics and distribution engineering experience.
•Extensive experience with warehouse infrastructure and building systems, including material handling equipment (MHE), racking, dock equipment, and drop lots.
•Experience developing and delivering programs from concept through execution, including influencing cross-functional and third-party outcomes without direct reporting authority.
•Project management experience for capital projects up to five million dollars.
