Assist the construction foreperson with operating heavy highway equipment and supporting smooth jobsite operations. Key Responsibilities

•Assist the construction foreperson with operation of heavy equipment including pavers, milling equipment, power broom, plate compactor, and rollers.
•Occasionally assist the construction foreperson with paving, milling, or other construction tasks.
•Perform other miscellaneous duties including equipment maintenance and assisting foreperson and/or crew members as needed.
•Work with members of the construction team to ensure smooth operations associated with heavy highway construction.
•Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.

Key Requirements

•Less than high school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

•Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
