Job Summary

Lead AMD’s EMEA HPC and Sovereign AI Centers of Excellence, managing a geographically distributed team of computational scientists, AI specialists, and performance engineers. Serve as senior technical leader for customer engagements, building executive relationships and overseeing program execution. Drive application enablement, performance optimization, benchmarking, and deployment on AMD platforms, partnering across AMD hardware, software, product, and engineering teams to accelerate adoption and improve customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, mentor, and develop the EMEA HPC and Sovereign AI Centers of Excellence team.
•Manage a geographically distributed organization of computational scientists, AI specialists, and performance engineers.
•Serve as senior technical leader for HPC and Sovereign AI customer engagements across the region.
•Establish trusted relationships with customer executives and technical leadership teams and key stakeholders.
•Guide application enablement, performance optimization, benchmarking, and deployment activities on AMD platforms; oversee customer programs to ensure successful technical outcomes and commitments.

Key Requirements

•PhD, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, computational science, AI/ML, or a related technical discipline.
•Proven experience deploying, optimizing, and adopting HPC and AI solutions in research, academic, government, or enterprise environments.
•Experience leading customer-facing engineering, performance engineering, or technical enablement organizations, including management of distributed technical teams across multiple countries.
•Demonstrated communication and influencing skills with computational scientists, technical leaders, and customer executives.
•Experience supporting AI infrastructure, model training, inference workloads, or AI platform deployment in enterprise, research, or sovereign computing environments.
