Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and maintain a robust sourcing strategy for assigned sourcing projects.
  • •Develop and execute commercial strategies, tender packages, and recommendations to award.
  • •Draft standard form contracts and contract variations in line with Rio Tinto Legal principles.
  • •Conduct tenders and negotiations, liaising with Contracts/Legal for advice, and recommend suppliers based on tender results.
  • •Manage contract activities and supplier relationships while ensuring projects are delivered successfully using the Ariba platform and meeting compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Business, Law, Engineering (or related discipline) is preferred, but not essential.
  • •Demonstrated experience in contract formation and the award phases during the sourcing process.
  • •Strong influencing, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities.
  • •Experience developing commercial strategies and business recommendations, with the ability to lead supplier negotiations.
  • •Proficiency negotiating terms and conditions independently (experience with Ariba S2C module is preferred, but not essential).
