Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned caseload of moderately complex personal property claims, ensuring correct coverage and liability evaluation and outcomes within authority limits.
  • •Investigate damages using research sources (insured, third parties, external resources), identify discrepancies, and determine subrogation potential when appropriate.
  • •Identify coverage concerns, review prior loss history, create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when needed, and analyze moderate complexity policy terms and contingencies.
  • •Negotiate and determine moderate complexity claims settlements, maintaining accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
  • •Use estimating technology and virtual inspection tools, and support jurisdictional challenges, workload surges, and CAT response/on-call duties as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • •2+ years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims or construction/insurance experience.
  • •Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Working knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •May need to obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days (3 attempts).
