Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and direct live-site critical/blocker incidents from identification and escalation through mitigation and recovery.
  • •Triage and verify problems and customer-impact statements; run incident bridges with clear roles and coordinate SMEs to restore service quickly.
  • •Improve incident platform tooling by optimizing templates and automating repetitive response steps to reduce operational overhead and time to mitigate.
  • •Partner with SRE and engineering teams to deepen dependency knowledge and implement secure, automated workflows that close operability gaps.
  • •Lead daily change reviews and translate incident learnings into engineering actions (e.g., SLOs, signal quality, rollback readiness, dependency documentation) to reduce customer impact.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years in SRE, production operations, reliability engineering, or equivalent high-scale SaaS operations with experience leading or co-leading major production incidents.
  • •Demonstrated Incident Commander/Technical Duty Officer experience with calm decision-making, clear communication, and judgment on escalation.
  • •Strong SRE fundamentals including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, observability (metrics/logs/traces), golden signals, and blameless postmortems/toil reduction.
  • •Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling beyond one-off scripts, with comfort reviewing others’ automation.
  • •Hands-on troubleshooting across Linux/Unix and multi-tier distributed systems, with networking literacy and cloud/container concepts (GCP preferred; Kubernetes valued).
