Job Summary

Operate forklifts safely in a fast-paced yard environment, directing visiting vehicles and loading/unloading goods to support production lines and service hauliers. Maintain activity flow within service level agreements while meeting safety, quality, and RTITB operating standards. Assist with manual inspection and repair of equipment stocks, keep trucks and hire stock properly maintained, and act as the key contact for hauliers on site.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently direct visiting vehicles while loading and offloading goods.
•Maintain activity flow of production lines and meet service level agreements.
•Assist with manual inspection and repair of equipment stocks in the yards.
•Ensure trucks and equipment are well maintained and report operational problems, including damage.
•Carefully handle and store hire stock and raw materials while following stock rotation requirements.

Key Requirements

•Operate forklift safely to run production operations and service hauliers in a fast-paced environment.
•Maintain consistent performance against safety and quality standards.
•Direct visiting vehicles safely while loading and offloading goods.
•Experience working in a busy yard environment, including loading and unloading HGVs and moving pallet stacks.
•Forklift experience on double or triple fork FLTs; external FLT license (RTITB or ITSSAR) is advantageous (in-house licenses may be accepted).
