Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the plant controller in directing accounting support to the production facility, including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable, payroll, billing, and preparation of control reports.
  • •Ensure controllership requirements are met: protect company assets, reconcile and accurately value inventory per corporate policy, administer internal orders, and maintain compliance with SOX and annual internal auditing using GAAP.
  • •Administer bill of materials audits and BOM maintenance, distribute material and labor variances to plant personnel, and report variances to plant and corporate personnel.
  • •Audit payroll distribution and routinely review general ledger accounts for consistency and accuracy (at least monthly).
  • •Participate in plant and product review meetings, support operations improvement efforts, provide SAP/ADC and related system training and support, and work with purchasing/maintenance to reduce inventory balances.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 3 years of professional accounting experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Demonstrated ability to lead by training, coaching, mentoring less-experienced staff, or managing a process or project.
  • •Knowledge of accounting software, contact management systems, inventory software, manufacturing software, and Microsoft Office—advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and analytical tools.
  • •Strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of cost accounting concepts.
  • •SAP experience (preferred).
