Job Summary

Deliver cost management services for Life Sciences projects within the London Health team, supporting clients from pre-contract through handover across refurbishment and large-scale healthcare developments. Prepare estimates, cost plans, and monthly post-contract cost reports; manage procurement and two-stage tendering activities; handle cost variations and change control; and negotiate and agree final accounts. Senior Cost Managers may lead commissions or coordinate junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver cost management services across the full project lifecycle or as part of a wider project team.
•Prepare estimates and cost plans, including final cost plans, and manage post-contract cost variations and change control.
•Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification, tender documentation, tender analysis, and contract preparation.
•Undertake cost checks and valuations and produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports.
•Contribute to value engineering and negotiate and agree final accounts; guide junior team members when required.

Key Requirements

•Knowledge of, or experience working within, healthcare and/or education sectors.
•Experience supporting projects through all stages, from feasibility to completion.
•Familiarity with two-stage tendering and procurement processes, including tender enquiry, tender analysis, and supplier selection.
•Experience preparing and presenting monthly post-contract cost reports and managing cost reporting accuracy.
•Degree qualified in construction, cost management, or quantity surveying; MRICS preferred and/or relevant experience.
