Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in hatchery quality control, animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety programs.
  • •Pull correct eggs and place them into the correct hatchers; support set/transfer/chick processing for deliveries as needed.
  • •Perform setup and cleanup of the process, halls, and setters; stay until all duties are complete to verify quality.
  • •Monitor machines/automation and equipment for proper operation, document findings, and adjust or escalate issues as needed.
  • •Maintain detailed documentation for transfer/processing including vaccine tracking and egg placement records; train/cross-train and cover absenteeism as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Be able to work the scheduled hours (Friday/Saturday/Monday/Tuesday 5:00pm–3:00am).
  • •Partake in hatchery quality control, animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety programs and follow company policies.
  • •Comply with low transfer crack assessment expectations and ensure correct eggs are placed into the correct hatchers.
  • •Lift or push/pull 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform continuous standing, walking, frequent lifting, and bending/squatting as required.
  • •Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English preferred; be able to work with minimal supervision.
