Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
  • •Perform professional neonatologist duties including assessment/reassessment, daily rounds in the NICU and nursery, examinations/procedures, and preventive measures.
  • •Provide in-patient care for newborns and attend difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveries.
  • •Provide consultation/referral services and expert consultative support to other medical services; support consultation-to-treatment continuity.
  • •Maintain clinical governance and quality standards by monitoring clinical risks/indicators, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and keeping accurate medical records.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/fellowship/diploma recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority, with active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
  • •Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration (e.g., membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or equivalent).
