Job Summary

Senior Linux System Engineer responsible for designing system architecture, defining enterprise procedures, ensuring Linux baseline compliance with STIGs, monitoring integrated solutions, and developing OS lifecycle plans for DoD environments. Onsite at Fort Huachuca, you’ll work across Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu), VMware, and security hardening to deliver secure, compliant IT infrastructure.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
•Develop Enterprise Technical Procedures (ETPs) to apply patches, upgrades and security configurations to the baseline system in the EOF for testing IAW with STIGs.
•Ensure Linux systems are in compliance with baseline requirements and enterprise policy with ongoing updates.
•Monitor all solutions integrated via a centralized alerting system.
•Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other security standards.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
•Active Secret security clearance required.
•Current DoD IAT Level III certification.
•Thorough experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu or a derivative.
•VMware management/administration experience.
