Key Responsibilities

  • •Build LLM application services in Python, including prompt strategies, tool/function calling, and workflow orchestration.
  • •Design and implement RAG from ingestion to retrieval and re-ranking, using robust chunking and metadata strategy.
  • •Define grounding and guardrails to minimise hallucinations and ensure consistent, Finance-approved definitions.
  • •Implement deterministic query generation and safe execution patterns, including caching, error handling, and fallback behaviours.
  • •Create API layers (REST/gRPC) and run LLMOps/evaluation practices with testing, observability, and compliance-focused security/privacy engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated Python engineering capability with clean architecture, testing, packaging, and performance optimisation.
  • •Proven experience delivering production LLM apps (or advanced PoCs) using major LLM APIs/hosted models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, or open-weight models.
  • •Hands-on RAG implementation experience, including ingestion and practical retrieval foundations.
  • •Experience with prompt engineering and tool/function calling for reliable LLM behaviours.
  • •API engineering skills (FastAPI/Flask) and cloud-native delivery (GCP preferred) with secure engineering practices for LLM mitigations.
