Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment and support engineering test activities (machine setup, material changes, WIP movement).
  • •Review process and equipment data on dashboards and determine corrective actions as needed; troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.
  • •Perform on-site service and repair of equipment in a timely, cost-efficient manner and respond to SPC process control alarms to bring processes back into control.
  • •Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements; develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions; execute process experiments, collect/analyze data, and report results.
  • •Transition new equipment and processes through start-up, qualification, and implementation; set up and maintain gauges; update internal documentation and train production associates.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 18.89 - 26.44 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • •Meet one of the following: an associates degree in a technical discipline, 2+ years of machine/mechanic experience, 1 year of First Solar technical experience, or 6 months as an Associate EMT at First Solar with rating of “5” or higher.
  • •Verifiable electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting/repair skills.
  • •Safety-first mindset and ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment and process issues on the manufacturing line.
  • •Working knowledge of common Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
