Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, delivering loads safely and on time via required routes.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals and observing safety regulations.
  • •Load and unload equipment and materials using specialized equipment as needed, including unloading empty skids and returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading) and deliver required paperwork after route completion.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil/water/gas and air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold the required commercial drivers license or chauffeur’s license for the weight of the vehicle operated, per state requirements.
  • •Pass DOT physical and comply with background and drug testing requirements as required by federal/state transportation regulations.
  • •Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills, speaking professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Remain focused in a busy environment and follow transportation and safety regulations while driving.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
