Key Responsibilities

  • •Embed with design engineering during concept and prototype to run technical reviews, drive DFM/DFA, and align design intent with supplier build reality.
  • •Evaluate and qualify suppliers globally based on technical capability, process maturity, quality systems, and capacity to deliver complex assemblies on schedule.
  • •Own cost engineering activities including should-cost analyses, teardowns, and process assessments to drive design-to-cost improvements.
  • •Lead the NPI-to-production transition through first-article inspections, PPAP, yield ramp, and resolution of early-stage manufacturing issues at suppliers.
  • •De-risk builds by identifying single points of failure, qualifying alternate processes/sources, and driving ECOs and corrective actions to unblock supplier-facing issues.

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years in a hybrid engineering/sourcing/supply chain role delivering hardware into production, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related engineering.
  • •Strong manufacturing process depth for your commodity, including understanding cost drivers and what can fail at scale.
  • •Fluency in engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models, with solid GD&T instincts to match tolerances to supplier capability.
  • •Experience working with suppliers to troubleshoot fabrication issues, improve yield, and drive root-cause corrective action (8D/CAPA).
  • •Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
