Job Summary

Furnace Operator on a 7th shift at an RTX manufacturing site. You will perform set-up and operation tasks for vacuum/rotary atomization furnaces, load materials, monitor processes, assist with repairs and maintain safety and housekeeping in a high-precision production environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform cleaning, monitoring and securing operations to set up vacuum and rotary atomization furnaces.
•Load charge into crucibles ensuring correct amount, type and elements match specifications.
•Follow verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks during pours and atomization.
•Assist in preparing raw material charges, run furnace control board, perform minor repairs and housekeeping in the furnace and chamber.
•Assist in removing/replacing coils and cleaning the interior of the furnace chamber.
