Key Responsibilities

•Develop and optimize Android applications for smart locks, including unlocking, data sync, and firmware upgrades over BLE and NFC.
•Architect efficient communication protocols and data transfer mechanisms between smartphones and embedded lock hardware, optimizing for speed, security, and reliability.
•Define and refine mobile-to-cloud APIs and ensure end-to-end functionality from mobile app through the cloud to the device.
•Analyze and resolve complex field issues by debugging BLE GATT communications and using hardware logs and diagnostic tools.
•Serve as the go-to expert on BLE and NFC, mentoring other engineers and staying current on Android SDK and wireless updates.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 97,386 - 99,386 annually

Key Requirements

•Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
•2+ years of professional experience in software engineering focused on mobile connectivity and IoT products.
•Experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and Java, and designing BLE GATT communications and NFC integrations.
•Strong knowledge of Android architecture patterns including MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture, plus asynchronous programming with Coroutines and RxJava.
•Experience with Hilt dependency injection, unit/integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting device communication using BLE sniffers, logic analyzers, and firmware logs.
