Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end electrical development, including requirements definition, specification, design execution, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, DFM iteration, board bring-up, system integration, and validation
  • •Design and develop electronics for renewable energy systems, including power conversion, sensing, control, and communications functions
  • •Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, controls, PCB layout, program management, validation, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance hardware
  • •Debug hardware issues and system-level interactions in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary development environment
  • •Produce clear and thorough technical documentation, including design requirements, calculations, test plans, validation results, and design reviews

Key Requirements

  • •Strong understanding of power electronics and circuit design, including dc/dc converters, inverters, battery-powered systems, power switching devices, gate drivers, magnetics, and loss modeling/calculation
  • •Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, signal conditioning, common communications interfaces, component selection, and thermal/power dissipation considerations
  • •Experience with PCB design and layout for mixed power and signal systems, including minimizing parasitics and designing for EMI/EMC performance
  • •Experience with circuit board design tools, ideally Altium Designer
  • •Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, LCR meters, and power analyzers
