Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend to up to 900 male birds by feeding, watering, and weighing them according to schedules.
  • •Clean and disinfect waterers and maintain male cages and nest pads, including routine housekeeping duties.
  • •Record production information and perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for data such as bird weight, medications, feed intake, and mortality.
  • •Observe, grade, and record male quality according to Cobb standards.
  • •Inspect poultry for disease and remove weak, ill, and dead birds from the flock; euthanize weak/ill birds as required by policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
  • •If laid off or providing child or elder care, employment gap may be up to 18 months.
  • •Applicants must be willing to follow rehire criteria (minimum waiting period of 180 days) and Cobb/Tyson rehire rule (no more than 3 times).
