Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide manual welding skills training in GMAW and GTAW welding processes on steel and aluminum base metals based on supplier skill-level assessment.
  • •Prepare, demonstrate, and engage in training activities with the OCONUS supplier during the project timeframe.
  • •Provide support and welding training subject-matter expert input to any training efforts currently underway.
  • •Support Proof of Manufacturing (POM) and production welding efforts.
  • •Lead or support welding instruction for small crews, teams, or classes as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • •10 years of welding experience in GMAW and GTAW for steel and aluminum base metals.
  • •Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and/or design drawings.
  • •Ability to communicate complex welding concepts across all levels of welding personnel, engineering teams, and management.
  • •U.S. citizenship required to access information under the program/contract.
