Key Responsibilities

  • •Observe and assist with basic inspection and testing activities, and with troubleshooting in low, medium, or high voltage systems under supervision.
  • •Assist with routine field tasks such as using testing instruments and supporting protection and controls testing.
  • •Learn site safety practices and proper use of PPE, and report unsafe conditions or malfunctions to supervisors.
  • •Maintain consistent attendance and clear communication regarding assignments and progress with the team.
  • •Collaborate with crew members and demonstrate professional behavior in the field.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent
  • •Some experience in electrical testing or related job capacity
  • •Some experience or demonstrated interest in field service work, in medium and high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation protection and controls testing
  • •Completion of electrical circuits analysis series, or other courses with AC power system theory
  • •Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
