Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on cost strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals/bids and bid leveling documents, chair bid interviews, and support appointment processes.
  • •Develop and present project estimates, review junior estimations, recommend value engineering and risk assessments, validate costs with vendors, and use benchmark data.
  • •Establish reporting schedules and manage cost reporting/forecasting by reviewing budgets and spend forecasts, maintaining a commercial risk register, and running periodic review meetings.
  • •Control costs by reviewing payment applications and recommending contractor entitlements, assessing change order requests, and using dispute prevention/management/resolution procedures for contractual issues.
  • •Manage invoicing and post-contract accounting, including post-contract audits, account closeouts, and post-contract reviews to produce lesson learned and handover procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, with strong communication skills.
