Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSD products meeting technical spec requirements across performance, endurance, capacity, functionality, and quality/reliability.
  • •Build firmware unit and functional tests to ensure the firmware subsystem meets quality, functional, and performance requirements at each integration milestone.
  • •Provide consistent, detailed, and accurate summaries of firmware development activities to management, multi-functional teams, and the firmware team.
  • •Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across peers and management to improve team involvement, morale, and productivity.
  • •Use AI-assisted tools and insights responsibly to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, and identify/testing AI-enabled enhancements within scope.

Key Requirements

  • •Masters or Bachelors in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • •4+ years embedded firmware development and debugging experience.
  • •2+ years recent experience in storage industry, storage systems, or related technology (advantage).
  • •Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C, Rust) and firmware development tools/environments; Python experience is an advantage.
  • •Experience with team leadership and/or supervising/mentoring engineers; ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
