Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as responsible engineer for satellite avionics interconnection systems across design, integration, test, production, launch, and in-orbit operations.
  • •Architect harness/channel capabilities including power and network connectivity, fault tolerance, reliability, and configuration management; generate electrical schematics.
  • •Develop electro-mechanical harness designs and drawings in a 3D NX CAD environment and translate design intent to harness manufacturing and integration.
  • •Perform thermal, loads, and vibration analysis and physical testing to qualify harness electrical and mechanical properties over the full lifecycle.
  • •Own product delivery timelines through launch, partnering with harness production, integration, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and installable on schedule.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or other engineering discipline.
  • •Experience with electro-mechanical wire harness design or manufacturing, including internships and student projects.
  • •Ability to develop harness designs that meet system requirements and connect to larger hardware systems.
  • •Proficiency with CAD software, especially Siemens NX.
  • •Experience with electrical and optical harness design, including schematic/wiring diagram definition and 3D design.
