Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and develop experienced infrastructure engineers across observability, developer productivity, compute, networking and storage, and data infrastructure.
  • •Set and uphold technical direction and high engineering standards for reliability, testing, safe deployments, security, and maintainability.
  • •Run infrastructure as a product by building self-service systems, unblocking teams, and measuring outcomes like delivery speed, reliability, cost, toil, and on-call load.
  • •Establish a durable operating model with clear ownership, backup coverage, SLOs, actionable alerts, dashboards, runbooks, capacity expectations, and tested recovery paths.
  • •Lead through incidents and unfamiliar failure modes, then close recurring operational gaps so work doesn’t become permanent background load.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years managing engineers (or equivalent technical leadership and people development).
  • •Strong infrastructure foundation with ability to review code/designs, make architecture decisions, and contribute directly when needed.
  • •Experience operating consequential production systems, responding to incidents, and improving what remained after the immediate issue.
  • •Track record hiring, coaching, and developing strong engineers, with clear judgment on what good looks like.
