Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the clean-sheet design of UL 891 LV switchboard and UL 857 distribution busway platforms, from calculations to released production drawings.
  • •Release both platforms for production within 12 months, running design, NRTL listing, and short-circuit test campaigns in parallel.
  • •Lead a dedicated team of electrical and mechanical engineers supported by assigned drafting, compliance, and test staff.
  • •Drive listing programs end to end, including test plans, NRTL witness testing, service setup follow-ups, and certification files.
  • •Coordinate localization upgrades (interconnect points, protection interfaces, transport/rigging limits, seismic anchorage) and work with third-party authorized vendors.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 260,000 - 310,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Have designed LV switchboards or busway at an OEM and carried a product through UL 891 or UL 857 listing from start to finish.
  • •Have run short-circuit withstand and temperature rise test campaigns and redesigned bus, bracing, or joints after a failed test shot.
  • •Make critical contact system, joint, and plating decisions that determine busway durability across thousands of load cycles.
  • •Design for manufacturability at volume, including sheet metal, plating, torque specifications, and assembly sequences production can sustain.
  • •Have led a product team through a compressed release schedule and maintained test evidence quality when timelines slipped.
