Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Vehicle Controller on console for Starship production checkouts at Starbase, including Starfactory/Megabay 2 and associated stations.
  • •Execute released test plans and work-order operations (leak checks, pneumatics mapping, propellant-system functionals, avionics mapping/integrity/functional testing).
  • •Run checkout sequences on flight hardware, monitor telemetry/alarms, disposition alarms, and escalate off-nominal hardware/GSE behavior.
  • •Maintain operational safety: enforce barriers/PPE, manage radio callouts, and halt operations immediately if safety requires it.
  • •Drive test-requirement closeout, complete shift handoffs/passdowns, support readiness reviews, and train/check out other Vehicle Controllers and technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •1+ years of experience executing work instructions, test procedures, or controlled operations.
  • •2+ years of hands-on experience as an aerospace manufacturing technician, test technician, vehicle controller, or equivalent operations role in aerospace/aviation/automotive/manufacturing environments.
  • •Experience as a console operator, vehicle controller, or control-room operator.
  • •Understanding of spacecraft systems and experience with pressurized operations, high-pressure gases, and/or cryogenic systems.
