Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and diagnose issues using real-time data.
  • •Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment and performing preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations, then complete repairs.
  • •Travel to customer job sites when required; set up and operate equipment at shops and customer sites individually or with other technicians.
  • •Maintain daily paperwork/electronic work-order documentation and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts (and training lower-level technicians as needed).

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading/understanding schematics.
  • •Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred, and EPA 608 certification preferred (obtain within 6-12 months).
