Job Summary

Lead technical activities throughout the sales cycle, from RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, and actively participate in POCs with internal teams and customer/commercial partners. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, translating security and networking requirements into competitive solutions. Continuously deepen Fortinet product expertise and competitive awareness while presenting via whiteboarding, technical documents, and discussions. Maintain accurate CRM technical account/prospect information.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle from initial RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, including project management and active participation in POCs.
•Understand and interpret customer technical requirements to build solutions that outperform competitor offerings.
•Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer(s) and partners in collaboration with your sales partner.
•Improve knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving threats.
•Position Fortinet solutions to customers through remote or in-person communication, including whiteboarding and technical documents; manage multiple deals and maintain CRM technical data.

Key Requirements

•High aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication, with knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN; CISSP is beneficial.
•Experience (current or previous) in a pre-sales engineer role managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
•Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and how they contributed to key wins.
•Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical information to external and internal stakeholders.
•Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewalls, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
