Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the geological database (structures, quality, borehole status) and update inputs for the site geological model.
  • •Provide advice on exploration requirements and identify hazards impacting safety or production for Strata Control and Mine Management.
  • •Complete regular underground longwall and development mapping, auditing, and reporting on geological issues to management and operations.
  • •Provide geological inputs into surface and underground drilling and interpret/review borehole data.
  • •Maintain geological, geotechnical, borehole, coal quality, gas desorption, and hydrogeological databases, and contribute to permit-to-mine documentation (e.g., grade plans, fault plans, hazard plans).
