Key Responsibilities

  • •Own technical engineering, architecture reviews, migrations, and HA/DR design for enterprise databases.
  • •Lead advanced performance engineering: analyze query plans, deadlocks and blocking chains, set performance standards, and optimize workload distribution.
  • •Handle advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution, including leading P1/P2 incident bridges and performing root cause analysis.
  • •Design and validate HA/DR solutions, including RTO/RPO compliance, DR readiness assessments, testing, failover and failback validation.
  • •Lead upgrades and modernization work: create upgrade/migration runbooks, validate readiness/dependencies, and ensure post-migration environment correctness.

Key Requirements

  • •7–9 years of advanced database SME experience across enterprise database platforms (SQL Server/Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle).
  • •Deep knowledge of SQL Server administration and Azure SQL services, including Always On Availability Groups, replication, and backup/recovery.
  • •Strong PostgreSQL operational expertise for Azure PostgreSQL and GCP PostgreSQL, including WAL management, replication, and HA.
  • •Oracle DBA expertise across RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN environments.
  • •Ability to lead critical incident resolution (P1/P2), perform root cause analysis, and drive performance and HA/DR improvements.
