Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detention, processing, safeguarding, security, escort, and transport duties as required by contract.
  • •Exercise surveillance and control to maintain order and discipline; enforce facility rules and regulations.
  • •Provide care, custody, and control of detainees, including removing detainees from holding areas using restraints and security measures.
  • •Carry approved intermediate weapons as required; inspect, maintain, and care for authorized equipment and complete required requalification.
  • •Complete transportation and processing logbook entries, conduct security/sanitation and vehicle inspections, and ensure detainees’ housing and physical well-being 24 hours a day.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 1 year of experience as a law enforcement, military, or security officer involved in detaining civil/administrative detainees, or 2 years of college in an appropriate field.
  • •Be a US citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident who has resided in the US for the last five years.
  • •Possess a high school diploma (or equivalent GED) and be at least 21 years old.
  • •Pass criminal background and consumer credit checks (no criminal record), plus pre-employment and random drug tests and a medical examination.
  • •Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance and maintain a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license and firearms license; maintain physical fitness and PR residency.
