Job Summary

Lead and coordinate design projects in the Water sector, overseeing engineering design work, ensuring compliance with UK regulations (CDM/H&S), managing resources, timelines, and budgets, and serving as the primary link between clients, technical specialists, and project teams to deliver high-quality, compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage design projects within the Water sector, coordinating across multiple work packages and guiding the design team.
•Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to ensure integration, quality and timely delivery of designs that comply with UK regulations and CDM/H&S standards.
•Lead client and design team meetings, provide clear progress reporting and address design issues to minimize risk.
•Manage design programmes, resources, budgets and risks across mid-scale and complex projects, adjusting as needed to meet client requirements.
•Handle change control, RFIs, design transmittals, and project communications to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with scope.

Key Requirements

•MEng/BEng/BSc or HND/HNC in an Engineering, Environmental or numerate science related subject
•A member of an appropriate professional institute (Chartered or working towards)
•Experience in an infrastructure programme and project delivery environment, with experience of delivering complex projects
•Significant experience in Project and contract management including knowledge of H&S standards and regulations
